LointerHome Plans 27@Lincoln, A Boutique Mixed-Use Building in Coconut Grove

LointerHome Plans 27@Lincoln, A Boutique Mixed-Use Building in Coconut Grove

May 11, 2017

LointerHome has announced plans for 27@Lincoln, a boutique mixed-use development that will feature 68,000 SF of "Class A" office space and 5,000 SF of retail space. The 5-story building will be designed by William Hamilton Arthur IV as the architect on record and the project will include wraparound balconies, a rooftop terrace, and an underground parking garage with hydraulic car elevators. 27@Lincoln will be located at 3151 Southwest 27th Avenue, just 1 block away from South Bayshore Drive and Cocowalk. Groundbreaking is expected in early 2018.

“Coconut Grove is home to many professionals who will benefit from living and working in the same neighborhood rather than commuting to downtown every day. This is one of the Grove’s most desirable office addresses, and is perfectly positioned to offer residents a better per square foot deal than offices in Brickell,” said Amanda De Seta, the founder of LointerHome.

The Standard to Get Major Facelift, To Demolish Lido Spa Hotel

The Standard to Get Major Facelift, To Demolish Lido Spa Hotel

May 10, 2017

The Standard Miami Beach, located on the iconic Venetian Islands, is about to get a major facelift. It is expected that they will demolish the Lido Spa Hotel and the Lido Bayside Grill and replace it with a new 3-story structure that features ground floor parking and hotel rooms. The hotel room count will remain at 100 and the redesign will be headed up by Rene Gonzalez. The facelift will also leave most of the front facade in tact, especially the parts with historical MiMo Art Deco features. The currently operating spa will not be affected by the facelift. The proposal also addresses sea level rise and was approved by the Miami Beach Design Review Board.

New Interior Images of Stantec's Eve at the District Residential Development in Midtown Miami

May 8, 2017

Stantec has released new images of their new mixed-use residential development known as Eve at the District. The tower was completed in late 2016 and was named after artist Anna Sweet’s piece of art, “Eve," which is displayed in the building's lobby. Stantec provided the architectural and design services for Mack Real Estate Group, who is the developer of the project. Eve is a 19-story building located at 3635 N.E. 1st Avenue which features 195 luxury residences and 61,500 SF of retail and restaurant space. It serves to connect the Miami neighborhoods of Midtown and the Design District.

“I met Anna Sweet at the popular Spectrum Miami art show in 2014 and immediately knew that Eve was perfect for the District. Our design team was seeking a “wow factor” that would immediately engage and intrigue the guest and set the sensual tone of the space. Eve did that so wonderfully that naming the project after her was obligatory,” says Susan LaFleur, director of hospitality and residential interiors for Stantec’s Miami Office.

Stantec, a recognized national leader in architecture, design and engineering, is working on other prominent projects throughout Florida, including Luma at Miami Worldcenter; Solitair in Brickell; Pearl at Midtown 29 and Midtown 8 in Midtown Miami; AER in Tampa; Jade Signature in collaboration with Pritzker Prize-winner Herzog & de Meuron; The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Miami Beach in collaboration with Italian designer Piero Lissoni; and Eighty Seven Park in collaboration with Pritzker Prize-winner Renzo Piano.

Melo Group’s Aria on the Bay Condominium Tops Off Construction at 53 Stories

Construction Update: Melo Group’s Aria on the Bay Condominium Tops Off Construction at 53 Stories

May 8, 2017

Aria on The Bay, one of the most highly anticipated new residential condo towers in Edgewater has topped off construction at 53 stories. The Melo Group has reported the 648 unit building over 80% sold which was designed by Arquitectonica. Aria on the Bay is expected to be completed in Q1 of 2018. The Melo Group has also lowered deposit requirements from 50% to 35% to help close out remaining inventory.

“Since we’ve already closed and covered our loan and construction is moving quickly, we’re able to relax our deposit requirements. We’ve sold 80 percent of our units to buyers from over 42 countries across the globe. Lowering deposit requirements is an incentive to attract more local and domestic buyers and sell out our remaining units in advance of the building’s delivery early next year,” said Carlos Melo, principal of the Melo Group.

Units at Aria on the Bay range from 1 to 4 bedrooms and $400K to $6 million and sold around $550 per square foot. Residences feature floor-to-ceiling glass, expansive wrap-around terraces, private elevator access, open-plan living areas, designer finishes and fixtures, European-style kitchens, and modern custom-designed cabinetry. Amenities include a 14th floor resort amenity deck with 2 sunrise/sunset swimming pools, a jacuzzi, custom-seated fire pits, barbecue grills and outdoor summer kitchens, a private spa with massage treatment facilities, a state-of-the-art fitness center, yoga studio, entertainment lounge, and a screening room. Zaha Hadid's One Thousand Museum Filmed to Be Featured in Discovery Channel & PBS' "Impossible Builds"

Starchitect Zaha Hadid’s One Thousand Museum in the Park West neighborhood of Downtown Miami will be one of five featured in an upcoming documentary entitled Impossible Builds, which will air on PBS and Discovery Channel. Impossible Builds explores building complex structures such as One Thousand Museum from around the world. The 62-story, 709 foot, architectural work of art that sits on Museum Park and Biscayne Bay was handpicked by Discovery Channel due to the intricate engineering of the exoskeleton exterior. Pieces for the exoskeleton are prefabricated off-site and arrive in shipments from Dubai. The outer shell is made-up by close to 5,000 pieces sourced from glass fiber reinforced concrete which form the structural façade. Other projects that have been chosen for the series are Villa Resorts in Dubai and the thinnest skyscraper in New York City. The episode is expected to air in 2018 and is produced by Blink Films. One Thousand Museum has passed the halfway point and has an expected delivery date in 2018.

“It is an honor for the project to be spotlighted in this important documentary film. We could not think of a better way to immortalize the forward-thinking project to a global audience across continents through this important documentary,” said Louis Birdman, one of the co-developers for One Thousand Museum by Zaha Hadid Architects.
