Miami's culinary scene is set for an extraordinary experience as Parador La Huella, acclaimed as the ‘Best Restaurant in Uruguay’ by Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants and lauded as the ‘Best Beachside Restaurant on the Planet’ by Bon Appetit magazine, takes over Amara at Paraiso for one weekend only. From June 21st to June 23rd, this exclusive pop-up event will offer Miami residents and visitors a rare opportunity to indulge in the celebrated flavors of La Huella right at their doorstep.
Located in the picturesque beachside town of Jose Ignacio, Uruguay, La Huella has been an institution since its founding in 2001 by friends Martín Pittaluga, Gustavo Barbero, and Guzmán Artagaveytia. Known for its stellar seafood, breathtaking coastal views, and an atmosphere where the Atlantic waves feel within reach, La Huella has attracted guests from local families to notable celebrities worldwide. The Miami stop is part of La Huella’s summer Itinerante tour, with other stops in Rio and Cannes.
As part of the takeover La Huella will transform the second floor of Amara at Paraiso, a waterfront property helmed by James Beard Award-Winning Chef Michael Schwartz. Chef Vanessa González, leading the culinary team at La Huella, will showcase their signature seaside specialties and grilled meats, complemented by live entertainment and La Huella’s rhythmic sounds. Schwartz, who cooked at La Huella last year, expressed his excitement, stating, “I’m honored to welcome La Huella’s esteemed team to Amara where we’ll blend Miami’s vibrancy with Uruguay's rich culinary traditions. Together we will celebrate diverse flavors and cultures transcending borders to craft an unforgettable experience.”
