On September 26, real estate media powerhouse PROFILEmiami hosted its first annual PROFILEmiami Pre-Construction Development Summit, shining a spotlight on the hottest developments and projects from Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach. The sold-out evening was be attended by over 450+ of South Florida’s most active developers, brokers, investors, architects, financiers and development sales teams; who enjoyed a real estate showcase and three panel experience, matched with a trendy evening soirée of bespoke networking and cocktails at the lavish B&B Italia Showroom in Miami Design District.

Attendees connected and experienced PROFILEmiami’s highly-regard Bespoke Networking in the Showcase Room, while enjoying exclusive cocktails by E11EVEN Vodka and an exquisite sushi selection by Belly Fish Sushi. Attendees learned about South Florida’s top condo development projects, many of which hosted pop-ups and activations at the showcase including champagne, bringing their scale models on-site, gift bags, hors d’oeuvres and giveaways. In the Panel Room, South Florida’s top developers and brokers discussed real estate development and pre-construction sales’ most pertinent topics including (1) The New Age of Ultra-Luxury Real Estate in Miami: Branded Residences & Five Star Hospitality; (2) Inside Short Term Rentals & Condo-Hotels; and (3) The South Florida Development Pipeline.

The ‘New Age of Ultra-Luxury Real Estate in Miami: Branded Residences & Five Star Hospitality Panel’ was led by moderator Francesco Farina (B&B Italia USA, Inc.) and featured Dayssi Olarte de Kanavos (Flag Luxury Group), Alex Witkoff (Witkoff), Jon Paul Pérez (Related Group) and Jay Phillip Parker (Douglas Elliman). The discussion explored developing and selling branded condos with world class brands such as The Ritz-Carlton Residences South Beach, St. Regis Residences Miami, Casa Bella by B&B Italia, NoMaD Residences and Viceroy Residences; as well as record breaking sales at The Shore Club and Six Fisher Island.

The ‘Inside Short Term Rentals & Condo-Hotels Panel’, led by moderator David Eyzenberg (Eyzenberg & Co.), featured top short term rental developers Dev Motwani (Merrimac Ventures), Harvey Hernandez (Newgard Development) and Juan Carlos Tassara (North Development). The panel explored the pipeline of short term rental supply under development, building management, activations for tenants / guests, booking platforms, guest management platforms, regulations, legislation and exploration of the various short term rental approved towers.

The evening was capped off with ‘The South Florida Development Pipeline Panel’, moderated by Alyssa Soto Brody (Powered by DMT) and featuring Philip Gutman (Gutman Development Marketing / Continuum Company), Fernando de Nunez y Lugones (Elle Residences), Eduardo Otaola (Constellation Group), Michelle Quinoa (Two Roads Development) and Inigo Ardid (Key International). The panelists discussed the various developments across South Florida, how the pipeline will impact supply, demand drivers and market updates from the development sales perspective.
