In a significant real estate transaction for Miami’s urban core, Swire Properties Inc. has finalized the sale of its interest in the retail and parking components of Brickell City Centre to Simon Property Group for approximately $512 million.

Swire Properties Inc. and Related Companies have commenced demolition on the site of the future One Brickell City Centre, an approximately 1,000-foot supertall tower that will be the tallest commercial building in Florida. On Thursday May 4 one of the buildings on the site was partially demolished with Miami Mayor Francis X. Suarez, Henry Bott, the President of Swire Properties and Stephen M. Ross, the Chairman and Founder of Related Companies in attendance.
Related Companies and Swire Properties have revealed plans for One Brickell City Centre, a new supertall office tower which will be adjoined to Brickell City Centre. Construction is expected to start in 2023 and the tower will be the tallest commercial tower in Florida upon completion. One Brickell City Centre is designed by Arquitectonica and will offer 1.6 million SF of office space.
A partnership between Kushner Cos. and Aimco has acquired a development assemblage in Fort Lauderdale for $49 million and plan to develop Fort Lauderdale’s tallest tower. The development partnership acquired a 1.87-acre site at 520 W Broward Blvd. for $35.5 million from Swire Properties as well as a 2.31-acre site at 300 W Broward Blvd. for $13.5 million.
Swire Properties has announced that The Shops at Brickell City Centre (BCC), a landmark destination for dining, entertainment, shopping and culture developed by Swire Properties, is now 97% leased after announcing leases with Beach Bunny, Café Americano and more to occupy a total of 16,742 SF of retail space.

Swire Properties has sold Two Brickell City Centre and Three Brickell City Centre for a combined $163 million, $630 per square foot, amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Each Class A Office building is roughly 130,000 square feet with the pricing broken down by $80.3 million for Two Brickell City Centre and Three Brickell City Centre sold for $82.7 million.
Brickell City Centre (BCC), an open-air shopping, dining and entertainment destination developed by Swire Properties in Miami’s financial district, Brickell, has announced new retailers and first-of-its-kind restaurants which will be opening this summer (2020) despite the COVID-19 shutdown.

The developer has just filed plans with the city where they plan to build 2 more condo towers as well as extend the current Brickell City Centre mall skybridge as well as Climate Ribbon that would lead to a newly built, enclosed portion of the mall.
Swire has announced that Brickell City Centre's 260,000 SF of office space at Two and Three Brickell City Centre is now 100% leased. Each office tower rises 12 floors and was designed by Arquitectonica. The final two leases signed were by KPMG for 16,926 SF, which equates to a full floor, and Interaudi Bank, who leased 10,700 SF.
