Funding For Lincoln Road Revamp Approved By Miami Beach City Commission

A $77.4 million funding package for a major James Corner Field Operations-designed revamp of Miami Beach’s Lincoln Road has been approved by Miami Beach city commissioners. The funding will come from city taxpayers in addition to a $16 million Special Assessment charged to property owners in the immediate Lincoln Road district.

Unit 2607 at Continuum South Beach has sold for a record setting highest price per square foot paid for a 2 bedroom unit. Dina Goldentayer of Douglas Elliman represented the seller, Never Again Ventures, LLC in the $4.2 million transaction which sold to a buyer from Connecticut for $2,400 per foot.

Seeking to enhance the transit experience and improve the quality of existing architecture and functionality, the City of Miami Beach proposed to adopt a new bus shelter design for city commuters.

Terranova Corporation has revealed a new hotel design by Arquitectonica which has been proposed on Coral Gables’ Miracle Mile. The design was influenced by Mediterranean architecture and the historic Biltmore Hotel. The hotel will offer 120 hotel rooms and 36,778 SF of ground floor retail which will also feature restaurant space.

The winning design is by French artist Daniel Buren and features a colorful tube of transparent glass panels offering views of Biscayne Bay.

ROVR Development Gearing Up To Break Ground On Grand Station Tower In Downtown Miami This Year

ROVR Development, led by Oscar Rodriguez and Ricardo Vadia, is gearing up to break ground on Grand Station Tower at 40 NW 3rd Street in Downtown Miami after first applying for construction permits in March 2018. Grand Station will rise 31-stories, 322’, and will feature 300 apartment residences and 5,000 SF of retail.
