According to new reports Crescent Heights has finally struck a deal with the city of Miami Beach to redevelop the former South Shore Hospital site, the three-block lot between Alton and West Avenue from 5th to 7th streets, into a 42-story tower.

The Miami office of global architecture and design firm, Perkins+Will, has announced the opening of the recently completed Baptist Health facility at 709 Alton Road. The four-story outpatient care center was developed by Crescent Heights and features 120,000 SF of total development.

Crescent Heights proposed project at 600 Alton Road will officially be called "Made in South Beach." The project includes 501 rental units with 70,000 SF of amenities and 60,000 SF of indoor/outdoor retail space with beautifully landscaped courtyards. Units will come in 1 and 2 bedroom layouts. Currently no construction permits have been applied for but Crescent Heights has been focusing on designing, branding and building the concept for the project. They're goal is to transform the entrance to Miami Beach as 600 Alton Road is the first residential and commercial lot seen when entering South Beach. The project was originally called "The Waves" and was to include 485 rental units before before Crescent Heights expanded their plans. The footprint will envelope the 500, 600 and 700 blocks of Alton Road.









3900 Alton Update
Mast Capital plans to break ground on 3900 Alton by the end of 2016. Sales have been reported by ISG and The Next Miami at around 10% since reservations launched, but the developers are confident that they will be moving ahead with their plan to develop the Alton Road lot by the end of the year. Designed by Ricardo Bofill, 3900 Alton is an 8 floor residential building whose design is a timeless vision that strikes a delicate harmony between nature and art. Its 78 residences feature ten foot floor-to-ceiling windows that capture and mimic the beauty of living on Biscayne Bay, while bathing living areas in natural light. Menin Hospitality to Open Al's Diner in Iconic Former Firestone Service Station
Menin Hospitality continues to grow its footprint on Miami Beach as it has added yet another project to its rapidly growing portfolio. Al's Diner, a 24 our eatery with gourmet treats will replace the iconic Firestone service station at 1500 Alton Road that opened in 1939. The shop opperated as a car service station until early 2016. The announcement brings Menin to 15 projects under operation. Late July, the Miami Beach City Design Review Board approved a variance to convert the properties' zoning to mixed-use retail/ restaurant with outdoor café seating as well as take-out window. ARRP, an affiliate of Crescent Heights will fully restore the iconic cantilevered porte-cochère and the Firestone roof sign.
