44 Star Island $24 Million Miami Beach Mansion

44 Star Island Listed for $24 Million with Approved Plans

November 10, 2016

Shay Kostiner, the managing director of Fifth Ave Capital Partners, has put his Star Island property, complete with redevelopment plans, for sale for $24 million. At the same time he continue moving forward with building the project which features approved plans for a 27,000 SF mansion designed by Ricard Bofill. The home will feature nine bedrooms, an eight-car garage, rooftop and bayfront pools, and 209' of waterfront complete with a private dock. The 1.1-acre property is located at 44 Star Island and was originally purchased by Kostiner in 2010 for 7.25 million. In April 2016 Kostiner received a variance to raise the home to an elevation of 13 feet above sea level as well as to save three large Ficus Trees on the property. The existing house on the property from 1935 will be demolished. The property and project is currently listed with Marcos Egipciaco of Sovereign Real Estate Group.

Miami Beach Home Shown on The Real World Sells for $2.71 Million

The famed Miami Beach home from The Real World located at 1200 W 63 ST Miami Beach has sold for $2.71 million. It belonged to Roman Jones, one of the managing partner of the former Opium Group. The home is 6 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms with a half-bath over 6,660 SF. It features a blend of classic Miami Beach style with exposed beam and beach style wood along with some modern features including the home being draped in Ipe wood and synthetic turf along with a rooftop terrace and tiki hut. The home was originally listed for $3.895 million in January 2015 with Dina Goldentayer and Sladja Stantic of Douglass Elliman.

Faena Hotel Penthouse Unit 1401 to Hit Market at $14 Million

The fully furnished, two-story penthouse on top of Faena Hotel Miami Beach is slated to hit the market shortly for $50 million. Unit 1401 is one of twelve private residences at the Faena Hotel Miami Beach. The unit is 9,979 SF with an additional 4,435 SF of outdoor space with private terraces and a rooftop deck. It features 6 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms and 4 half-baths. The pricing breaks down to around $5,010 SF. The unit was designed by film producer Baz Luhrmann and designer Catherine Martin to match the art-deco old-world ambiance, luxury and style of the Faena Hotel and district which opened in December 2015 on the site of the former Saxony Hotel. Alan Faena had announced last month that they were shelving the future Faena Versailles residential condominium project in order to better assess the market in favor of a potential hotel at the same location. Listing and photos by Douglas Elliman.

Bay House Proposed in South Beach

Bay House has been proposed in South Beach by TBD Group of Miami. The project is located at 1435 Bay Road and Flamingo Way will be eight residential units. DNA Design and Architecture will be the architect on record. TBD Group of Miami is a division of Arquitectonica Venezuela. They will be maximizing the 13,582 buildable allowance of the lot and applied for several variance including a driveway and setback waivers. The Miami Beach Design Review Board will review November 1. The project will be walking distance to Alton Road, Washington Ave. and Lincoln Road.

Eleven on Lenox Coming to South Beach

Eleven on Lenox from Shoma Group will feature a collection of 11 "ocean-inspired beach homes" which match the "spirit of the coastal retreat, infused with the luxury, style and sophistication of a private home in one of the most desirable neighborhoods." The project will be located at Lenox Ave. and 15th Street. Townhomes will start at $2.9 million and range from 4,403 SF to 4,669 SF. The project is designed by Zyscovich Architects and interior design by Charles Allem. Residences will be three floors and future Gaggenau appliances, smart lighting system, Poliform kitchens, four parking spaces, private elevators, rooftop terrace, summer kitchen and a pool. Eleven on Lenox is walking distance from both Lincoln Road and the beach and will emerge residents in the heart of South Beach.

Calvin Klein's Miami Beach Mansion on North Bay Road Listed for $15 Million

Calvin Klein's personal, private, waterfront sanctuary on Miami Beach's exclusive North Bay Road is currently listed at $15 million. This reflects a price drop of $1 million from when the home was originally listed last year for $16 million. The home is 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms with 2 half baths over 5,800 SF and the original structure was built in 1929. The open floor plan oozes European craftsmanship throughout including exposed beam ceilings and light colored wood for historic, beach and zen vibes. The furnishing and antiques are by designer Axel Vervoordt. The home also includes 2,166 SF of outdoor space complete with a courtyard and a one-of-a-kind, sanctuary style, tree-lined infinity pool. There is also a 113' of waterfront with views of Biscayne Bay and a private dock. Klein originally purchased the house in 1929 for around $1.6 million. For years Klein kept the home under wraps, allowing few photos of his Miami Beach tranquil retreat.
