The planned supertall entertainment complex SkyRise, which was slated to rise in Downtown Miami’s Bayside Marketplace, has been cancelled after the developer was unable to secure financing. The entertainment and observation tower was being developed by Berkowitz Development Group.

Skyrise has completed their wind-tunnel testing and have released new renderings of the project as they near the potential groundbreaking. The new renderings show greater detail of the proposed attractions including bungee jumping and a stunning observation deck. Developers at Skyrise Request Approval to Build Skyway, Rotating Viewing Pod Attraction
Skyrise, the entertainment mecca to be built in Downtown's Bayfront, has filed to add Skyway to the approved, proposed structure. Skyway would be skyrise's signature attraction, a 20-pod rotating, "modern ferris-wheel," experienced through viewing capsules. There would be 2 revolutions per hour and the pods would rise to a maximum, approved height of 1,049 ft. Plans for Skyway were designed by Arquitectonica and are currently under review.
