Design 41 in Miami Design District is now fully leased after Breitling signed a lease and opened a 1,832-square-foot boutique on the district’s prime Northeast 41st Street corridor. The 112 NE 41st St. store will showcase the latest watches modeled by Breitling’s “Spotlight Squad,” which includes Charlize Theron and Misty Copeland.

Just before Art Basel, celebrity developer Craig Robins, founder and CEO of Dacra as well as Design Miami, has announced that Miami Design District has nearly doubled in size with the opening of several new buildings and stores including Rag & Bone. For the past 3 years, the district was only half-open, offering some of Miami's finest shopping.

Design District's Area 41 is moving forward after securing financing with a $24.3 million loan from LA based Canyon Partners. Design District Development Partners project located at 112 NE 41st St. will be a 7 story, 8,082 SF mixed-use commercial development. It includes 10,000 SF of showroom and retail space, 20,000 SF of office space and a rooftop restaurant/ lounge. A rift between developers Benjamin Norton of Design District Development Partners and Asi Cymbal almost ruined the project earlier this year but was settled confidentially. Tenants are yet to be announced and leasing will be handled by Chariff Realty Group. First reported by The Real Deal.
