PROFILEmiami hosted its third annual PROFILE Design Summit 2026 at Atrium at Trackside in partnership with Sexy Bedding and Eclectic Elements, bringing together South Florida’s leading architects, developers, designers, builders, and industry professionals for an evening of elevated dialogue and bespoke networking focused on the future of design and development.
Building on PROFILEmiami’s legacy of industry-leading real estate forums, the Design Summit continues to serve as a premier platform for exploring the evolving intersection of architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, and the economics of development across South Florida’s luxury residential and commercial markets.
The evening began with an immersive Design Showcase, featuring a curated selection of top-tier brands, firms, and service providers shaping the region’s most prestigious developments. Attendees engaged with leaders across the design and construction ecosystem, including Edge House, Hegra, LUC Electric, Sexy Bedding, Ero Lighting, IVEY Design Build, IVEY Punch, Cetta Group, Samaan Design Group, and Eclectic Elements, among others.
The showcase highlighted the full spectrum of ultra-luxury development—from architecture and interiors to custom kitchens, millwork, lighting, smart-home technology, wellness systems, and advanced security solutions—offering a comprehensive look at the innovation driving South Florida’s design-forward growth.
Following the initial bespoke networking period guests sat down to listen to two engaging panels led by PROFILEmiami Co-Founder Demetri Demascus. The first panel, Designing for Luxury & Longevity, explored a powerful shift in the definition of luxury—moving beyond aesthetics to focus on human longevity, wellness, and long-term livability. Panelists included Ralph Choeff (Choeff Levy Fischman), Mikael Hamaoui (Riviera Horizons / Pagani Residences Miami), Tatiana Sheveleva (CHAPI Design), Kathy Samaan (Samaan Design Group), Monica Suleski (Eclectic Elements / Sexy Bedding), and Michael Cetta (Cetta Group). A central theme emerged early in the discussion: wellness is no longer an amenity—it is the foundation of modern luxury.

The second panel, Architecture, Landscape Design & the Economics of Development, shifted focus to the intersection of design and economics, examining how architecture, landscape design, and execution directly impact value creation, market performance, and long-term returns. Panelists included Michael Konig (One Thousand Group), Alejandro Acebal (Aceball Canney Arquitectos & Asociados), Ralph Choeff (Choeff Levy Fischman), Andres Arcila (Naturalficial, Inc.), Kirk Ivy (IVEY Punch / IVEY Design Build), and Ronald Bloomberg (Atrium at Trackside). The discussion opened with a key question: whether architecture should be viewed as a cost center or a primary driver of value. Panelists widely agreed that in today’s competitive market, design excellence is a critical differentiator, influencing everything from absorption rates to long-term asset performance.
Following the panel discussions, guests returned to the Design Showcase for continued bespoke networking and cocktails in a relaxed yet elevated setting, fostering meaningful connections across the development, design, and construction community.
The PROFILE Design Summit 2026 once again demonstrated PROFILEmiami’s role as a leading platform for convening the professionals shaping South Florida’s built environment. By bringing together leaders across disciplines, the event highlighted a defining shift in the market: Luxury is no longer defined solely by appearance—it is measured by performance, experience, and the ability of a space to support long-term health, well-being, and value.

Panel 1: Designing for Luxury & Longevity
The first panel, moderated by Demetri Demascus of PROFILEmiami, explored a powerful shift in the definition of luxury—moving beyond aesthetics to focus on human longevity, wellness, and long-term livability.
Panelists included Ralph Choeff (Choeff Levy Fischman), Mikael Hamaoui (Riviera Horizons / Pagani Residences Miami), Tatiana Sheveleva (CHAPI Design), Kathy Samaan (Samaan Design Group), Monica Suleski (Eclectic Elements / Sexy Bedding), and Michael Cetta (Cetta Group). The panel was moderated by Demetri Demascus (PROFILEmiami).
A central theme emerged early in the discussion: wellness is no longer an amenity—it is the foundation of modern luxury. Panelists emphasized that today’s buyers are increasingly prioritizing factors such as natural light, air quality, acoustic control, and sensory comfort as essential components of long-term value.
Architect Ralph Choeff highlighted the role of proportion, ceiling height, and spatial flow in shaping how environments influence stress levels and overall well-being over time, while Mikael Hamaoui discussed how projects like Pagani Residences Miami are integrating performance-driven design and wellness-focused programming into the residential experience.
Interior designers Tatiana Sheveleva and Kathy Samaan explored the rise of what was described as “nervous-system luxury,” where interiors are designed to calm, restore, and support daily living rather than simply impress visually. Monica Suleski further emphasized the importance of tactile comfort, sleep environments, and sensory layering in creating spaces that support long-term health.
From a construction perspective, Michael Cetta reinforced that true luxury reveals itself over time, noting that material selection, millwork quality, environmental control systems, and precision execution are critical to how buildings perform and age—particularly in South Florida’s coastal climate.

The discussion opened with a key question: whether architecture should be viewed as a cost center or a primary driver of value. Panelists widely agreed that in today’s competitive market, design excellence is a critical differentiator, influencing everything from absorption rates to long-term asset performance.
Landscape architect Andres Arcila emphasized the growing importance of outdoor environments, noting that landscape design has evolved from a secondary amenity to a core component of lifestyle, wellness, and value creation, particularly in South Florida’s climate.
Developers Michael Konig and Ronald Bloomberg highlighted the role of architecture and experiential design in shaping tenant demand, pricing power, and long-term NOI, particularly in mixed-use and commercial environments. Together with architects Alejandro Acebal and Ralph Choeff they discussed the importance of the developer and architect working together to ensure iconic projects are both feasible but still able to push the limits of design. They also discussed the emerging role of world-class international architects in the Miami market.
Kirk Ivy provided insight into the realities of construction, underscoring the importance of aligning architectural ambition with execution feasibility, especially amid rising material and labor costs. The panel emphasized that early collaboration between developers, architects, and builders is essential to maintaining both design integrity and financial discipline.
