Marking a significant milestone for one of Miami’s most anticipated residential towers, Villa Miami completed its concrete foundation pour on May 9. Moss Construction led the 14-hour pour that involved more than 3,400 cubic yards of concrete and 2,095 tons of steel to form the tower’s foundation, further accelerating momentum on the 650-foot waterfront landmark rising in Miami’s Edgewater neighborhood, on track for delivery in 2027. Construction on the tower is advancing swiftly with the concrete pour being completed four weeks ahead of schedule.
“The strength of today’s luxury market is defined by discernment as buyers are seeking more than just a home,” said David Martin, CEO of Terra. “The pace of progress at Villa Miami speaks volumes about the demand for a truly differentiated product and the strength of Miami’s real estate fundamentals. This milestone marks the beginning of a tower that will reshape the Edgewater skyline and redefine luxury living in Miami.”
The copper-clad, 56-story tower introduces a limited collection of just 70 half- and full-floor residences, offering a residential experience defined by world-class service, design and culinary excellence. Villa Miami is the first-ever residential tower branded by the globally celebrated Major Food Group and marks the inaugural collaboration between Miami legacy developer David Martin’s Terra and One Thousand Group.
“This concrete pour marks the moment Villa Miami shifts from vision to vertical reality,” said Kevin Venger, Co-Founder of One Thousand Group. “We’re building a legacy with a team that is pushing the boundaries of design and delivering at the highest standard, from the ground up.”
The pour recruited 43 concrete trucks, operating in a coordinated rotation throughout the day. Structural work is being led by Moss Construction, with architectural design spearheaded by ODP Architects under the leadership of Kurt Dannwolf. Villa Miami is distinguished by its striking copper-colored exoskeleton—an architectural statement conceived by ODP and engineered by global structural design firm DeSimone.
Located at 710 NE 29th Street, Villa Miami broke ground in December 2024 and secured a $285 million construction loan provided by TYKO Capital, a commercial real estate private equity and credit platform backed by Elliott Investment Management and led by Adi Chugh.
While construction continues, the project has already drawn significant buyer interest. With residences starting at $5.5 million and ranging from 3,000 to over 6,000 square feet, Villa Miami’s full- and half-floor homes cater to discerning buyers looking for estate-style residences in the sky with round-the-clock service and programming.
Villa Miami’s interiors are curated by Vicky Charles of Charles & Co., with landscaping by Enzo Enea. The tower’s private amenity suite, known as the Copper Club, spans multiple floors and is exclusively curated by Major Food Group to offer a high-touch, members-only experience.
The tower’s development team is behind some of Miami’s most iconic residential towers. Terra, led by David Martin, recently delivered Five Park Miami Beach and Mr. C Residences Coconut Grove. One Thousand Group’s portfolio includes the Zaha Hadid-designed One Thousand Museum tower and the firm recently acquired a nearby Edgewater site for a Kohn Pedersen Fox-designed project.
