Leading real estate developer Related Group (Related) and GTIS Partners, marked a major development milestone this weekend with the foundation pour of the highly anticipated Baccarat Residences Miami. Requiring over 10,000 cubic yards of concrete and 1,500 tons of reinforcing steel, the pour is confirmed to break all prior records set by the prolific development firms, for what is set to be the legendary french crystal brand’s only stand-alone residential tower, managed by hospitality titan SH Hotels & Resorts. The highly anticipated luxury tower is over 95% sold ahead over its 2028 completion.
The historic concrete pour by Ceco Concrete Construction, which spanned 30 hours, started at 8pm Friday night and continued uninterrupted until 2am Sunday morning, masterfully overseen by the general contractor John Moriarty & Associates of Florida (JMA) with support from Florida Concrete Unlimited, Titan America, Gancedo Lumber, B&J Consulting Engineers and NV5.
“It’s not every day you see a foundation pour of this scale and magnitude. It was truly a once-or-twice-in-a-lifetime event,” said Nicholas Perez, President of Related’s Condominium Division. “We are incredibly grateful to JMA, our subcontractors and engineers for their participation in this monumental undertaking, which required a tremendous amount of coordination and planning.”
Located on one of the last waterfront parcels along Brickell Avenue, where the Miami River meets Biscayne Bay, the 75-story tower is crafted by the world’s preeminent design talents, with architecture by international firm Arquitectónica, interiors by the NYC based Meyer Davis Studio and landscape design by swiss architect Enzo Enea.
The sister property to the record-breaking Baccarat Hotel & Residences NYC, the Brickell tower is made up of 355 residences, including just eight exclusive penthouses. The property, which has enjoyed record sales success, is now 95% sold, with selected premium residences remaining for sale.
