Miami's dining scene is about to get a taste of Spain with the opening of MOMENTO by Ikaro, an international outpost of the Michelin-starred restaurant Ikaro in La Rioja. The restaurant, set to debut this summer in Downtown Miami, promises to bring a blend of Spanish culinary heritage and Miami's vibrant energy to create a unique dining experience.
Led by chefs Carolina Sanchez and Iñaki Murua, MOMENTO by Ikaro will offer a menu that celebrates the flavors of Spain and Latin America with innovative techniques and artistic presentation. Dishes like Wood-Fired Oven Turbot, Wood-Fired Oven Lamb Shoulder, Amazonian Tiradito, and Ikaro's famed Espuma de Abatonca are expected to be highlights on the menu.
The restaurant's design, by CM Design Studio, draws inspiration from Miami's culture and Spanish architecture, creating a space that is both inviting and elegant. With distinct dining areas including an alfresco terrace, open kitchen, and cocktail lounge, MOMENTO aims to immerse guests in a welcoming atmosphere. Handcrafted elements, vintage and contemporary art, and natural features like greenery and climbing vines add to the restaurant's charm.
Chef Murua, with experience at Michelin-starred restaurants like Martin Berasategui, Azurmendi, and Els Cassals, and Chef Sanchez, the first Ecuadorian chef to receive a Michelin star, bring their culinary expertise to Miami with MOMENTO by Ikaro. Their restaurant in La Rioja, Ikaro, earned its first Michelin star in 2018 and has since been recognized for its culinary excellence.
MOMENTO by Ikaro is located at 1306 N Miami Ave and will be open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday from 5-11pm. The restaurant promises to offer a dining experience that combines artistry, storytelling, and unforgettable flavors.
