Coral Gables-based real estate development firm MG Developer recently hosted a private reception with a select group of Coral Gables residents, honoring them for their local contributions to the community. As Coral Gables celebrated its 99th anniversary, MG Developer is carrying a long-storied tradition started by the city’s founder George Merrick. In recognition of those who continue elevating the city’s legacy, guests included new owners from MG Developer’s latest project, The Village at Coral Gables.
“Our mission is to deliver a high-quality lifestyle that starts at each home we build throughout the City Beautiful,” said Alirio Torrealba, CEO of MG Developer. “Our mission is to continue the vision that George Merrick started, building residences but at the same time, building communities. Many of those who have chosen to live at an MG Developer property align with that ethos, and we’re proud to continue those bonds that strengthen our city’s history and create a path for the future.”
As Coral Gables gains national prominence for its high-end shopping, world-class dining, and famed tree canopy that surrounds residents in South Florida’s unique natural environment, the city’s profile continues to rise with the delivery of The Village of Coral Gables, a Seville-inspired community with 48 residences. Inspired by George Merrick’s original plan of developing themed villages throughout the city, MG Developer is continuing that plan with this timeless project.
Celebrating the development and the residents that will shape the character of The Village at Coral Gables, guests enjoyed a myriad of mixed cocktails, light bites, and melodic sounds by a special violinist.
“These will be the first residents in what is to become the eighth village of Coral Gables, writing a new chapter in City Beautiful history,” continued Torrealba. “We’re thrilled to be a part of it and add our own contributions to one of this renowned community.”
