LOG Fire Signature introduces a captivating wood-fired dining experience in the heart of Wynwood. Inspired by the primal element of fire, this new establishment aims to create a warm and inviting atmosphere for both locals and visitors.
The venue, situated in an industrial-style building with high ceilings, features a beautifully lit bar adorned with hints of greenery, providing a cozy yet romantic escape. Guests can indulge in the magic and movement of fire in the open-kitchen setting, adding a unique touch to their dining experience.
Heading the culinary team is Chef Calvin Daniele, an Argentinian native with a passion for seasonality and simplicity. With a focus on ingredient-driven dishes, Chef Calvin utilizes wood-fired ovens that reach temperatures of up to 1,000 degrees, imparting a distinctive umami flavor to their offerings. Drawing inspiration from his upbringing in Argentina, Chef Calvin aims to recreate the storytelling experience around the grill at LOG. Calvin began his culinary career working at the popular restaurant Orilla in Argentina and cooked in renowned kitchens like The Butcher’s Block in New Jersey and Tigre and Walrus Rodeo, based in Miami.
The menu, designed for sharing, encompasses a range of small to large plates. Notable dishes include Wagyu Beef Tartare ($24), Wood-Fired Oysters ($27), Grilled Langoustines ($22) , Leeks Pizza ($22), Charred Cabbage ($18), Pesto Cavatelli ($25), and a Skirt Steak served with homemade salsa verde and roasted peppers ($45). To conclude the meal, Chef Calvin recommends the Peco Pavlolva, a delectable dessert layered with Pecorino cheese pavlova, ice cream, mascarpone cream, and conserved peaches.
The ambiance at LOG Fire Signature is both spacious and intimate, spanning 4,500 sq. feet with seating for 90 guests inside, including a private room accommodating 40 guests. The lodge-like setting includes a fireplace surrounded by cozy booths with blankets and wooden tables, providing a charming view of the kitchen. The bar, adorned with lights and hanging plants, serves signature cocktails such as the interactive Smoky Old Fashioned, The Gardener, and the LOG Martini. Additionally, a selection of champagne, wine, and beer is available.
