Terra and One Thousand Group, developers of Villa, the first luxury condominium tower branded by the hospitality powerhouse, Major Food Group (MFG), confirmed the sale of a residence valued at $4.6 million to Duncan Robinson, a forward for the NBA’s Miami Heat. The announcement comes on the heels of the property’s September sales launch.
The 29-year-old, New Hampshire native purchased an expansive three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bath condominium in Edgewater’s most exclusive residential offering. The 3,000-square-foot half-floor residence features large east and west-facing balconies, 10’ ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows as well as custom wood flooring and doors. Designed by Vicky Charles of New York Design Studio Charles & Co., the building’s interior is outfitted with noble materials including travertine marble, wood flooring and soft lighting throughout.
Located at 710 NE 29 Avenue, Villa’s living experience encompasses land, air and sea, complete with a helipad and a private dock equipped with a boat slip overlooking unobstructed views of Biscayne Bay. The tower will also unveil MFG’s first waterfront restaurant with two floors of dining rooms, bar seats and private lounge space.
“I was attracted to the area first - Edgewater is Miami’s most ‘up and coming’ neighborhood featuring luxury buildings with incredible bay views and some of Miami’s best restaurants. Its proximity to downtown and Miami Beach really makes it a no-brainer.” says Robinson. “I love that Major Food Group will have not only a restaurant right downstairs, but also will be managing all the hospitality in the building for owners. I’m a fan of the brand and believe in the value it brings to the building.”
Inspired by MFG’s acclaimed dining concepts, Villa boasts a wide selection of food and beverage amenities including a residents-only juice bar and coffee lounge, on-site event catering as well as at-home private chef services or cooking lessons. Robinson will have access to the tower’s private Member’s Club featuring an array of spaces for every gathering and convenience, from a curated library, intimate lounge rooms, boardroom and private offices, screening rooms and more. Additionally, Villa grants its residents VIP status at all MFG restaurants, with early access and invitations to all brand events and openings.
“Robinson was attracted to the building’s high barrier to entry and its exclusivity with limited, high-value vertical residences,” said Julian Calderin of Douglas Elliman, who along with colleague Caroline Nava represented the buyer. Sari Libbin Shapiro, Sales Executive at Villa Miami, represented the development.
“Villa offers a new proposition for living in Miami,” said David Martin, CEO of Terra. “This project combines excellence in development, design, dining and hospitality, which makes it an entirely novel concept for Miami. Villa will afford residents all the luxuries, conveniences and amenities of high-rise living, along with the expansive living space and floor plans that they would expect from an estate home.”
“Coming from One Thousand Museum, we’re extremely proud to be working on yet another transformative project,” added Kevin Venger, Co-Founder of One Thousand Group. “I had an opportunity to spend some time with Duncan and discuss the lifestyle we are creating at Villa, and we are all excited to have him as one of our residents.”
Beyond the services, the tower’s health and wellness amenities create a refuge for relaxation. Residents are invited to a spa experience inspired by Ischia’s Mezzatorre thermal spas, containing marble plunge pools, an herbal steam room and various treatment rooms.
The state-of-the-art fitness center features yoga and boxing rooms, locker rooms and private or group fitness classes. Additionally, Villa’s elevated pool deck is fully serviced by MFG-trained staff and outfitted with a variety of lounges.
Douglas Elliman is the exclusive sales and marketing partner for the project.
