The buyer was Vernon Hill who was the founder, former chairman, president and CEO of Commerce Bancorp in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. McKinney first purchased the property in 2016 for $3 million and initially listed the home for $17.5 million in May 2019 before later dropping the price to $13.9 million in December 2019.
