One Thousand Museum by Zaha Hadid Architects, soon-to-be one of the most high-end residential towers in Miami, hosted a VIP preview of One Thousand Museum Residences’ culinary concept which will be exclusively available to residents in the tower’s Sky Lounge. The event was led by the building’s Director of Culinary, Mame Sow, the celebrated pastry chef who has ranked on New York City’s lists of Best Pastry Chefs prior of her move to Miami, where she now serves as Pastry Chef for Norman Van Aken’s Three restaurant in Wynwood. Mame Sow will also be in charge of the tower’s Sky Lounge culinary experience upon opening to residents later this year.
The Sky Lounge’s culinary program is gaining a reputation as Miami’s most exclusive reservation as it is only available to residents. Mame will create seasonal tapas menus and wine pairings for the Sky Lounge as well as a daily breakfast menu. She will also oversee an executive chef program and a customized wine program catering to the specific tastes of the tower’s residents. The 62-story One Thousand Museum by Zaha Hadid Architects is the late-starchitect Zaha Hadid's first residential skyscraper in the western hemisphere. The project is being developed by Louis Birdman, Gilberto Bomeny, Gregg Covin, Kevin Venger and the Regalia Group with Plaza Construction as the general contractor. One Thousand Museum's design features an exoskeleton design which acts as the buildings structural support. This allows the developer to remove columns from the units, creating expansive glass views of Biscayne Bay. When complete the tower will feature only 83 units ranging from $5.8 million to over $20 million and 4,600 SF to over 10,000 SF. Additional amenities to the Sky Lounge’s culinary experience include Museum Beach, the building’s exclusive beach club in South of Fifth, Miami's only private rooftop helipad, a state-of-the-art fitness center, spa, two pools, an indoor aquatic center, and a sky lounge. Construction topped off in February 2018 and the tower is on track for delivery in early 2019.
