Chef Brad Kilgore Debuts New Japanese-Italian Pop Up in Wynwood

Wynwood’s top talents are teaming up to unveil a new kind of cuisine for the magic city. Andrew Mayer, Co-Founder of OG Hospitality Group and James Beard nominee and finalist, Brad Kilgore are joining forces on an imaginative endeavor coming this winter - Miami’s first Itameshi concept, Oise Ristorante by Brad Kilgore.

Itameshi blends traditional elements of Italian and Japanese cuisine developing a unique umami flavor. Kilgore will put a new spin on classic Italian dishes using Japanese flavors, ingredients and techniques.

Similar to the OG Hospitality Group model, Oise will be innovative, unpretentious and affordable. This will be Kilgore's first quick-service concept since he opened his BBQ concept during the pandemic, Alter. Throughout the years, both entrepreneurs have been incredibly loyal and dedicated to Wynwood. In 2015, Kilgore made his mark in Wynwood when he opened Alter and just last year, debuted Marygold’s Brasserie. Mayer brought his California meets Hawaiian concept, Poke OG at the inception of 1-800-Lucky in 2017 and since then moved his location to Oasis along with his new sushi counter, Miss Crispy Rice.

Kilgore said, “I’m a huge fan and advocate for the quick-service model since that’s how I often dine-out because of time constraints and budget.” Mayer discovered Itameshi cuisine during his last trip to California and wanted to be the first Miami restaurant to offer these new flavors. He added, “When Andrew approached me about partnering, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to create something approachable, fun and affordable for all types of audiences. The menu at Oise is all about exploring new flavors without breaking the bank, we want guests to be able to come back for more and more.”

Oise will also be the first Miami restaurant to use pizza from Kilgore’s newest project, Pizza Freak Co. The superior quality will be highlighted in their Japanese inspired Itameshi Pizza topped with Italian herbs, scallions, shredded nori and pickled cherry peppers ($17). Pizza Freak Co. will be available in early 2024 locally in Miami, and currently can be shipped to your doorstep from online at www.pizzafreakco.com.

Other menu highlights include a massive and never before seen, Chicken Parm Katsu Sando filled with dashi brined crispy chicken, smoked mozzarella, umami pomodoro, dipped into a caper kewpie-chili crisp ($24), a signature Udon Carbonara folded with jidori egg yolk, black truffle, toasted black sesame, and parmesan and pecorino cheeses ($25), Cacio Pepe Breadstick (made by Pizza Freak Co.) served with peppercorn miso alfredo ($14) or upgrade with an uni fondue (+$7), handcrafted Fettuccine Pomodoro pasta with an umami spiked italian pomodoro, basil, olive oil, ichimi chili flake and yuzu butter ($19), Tuna Nigiri brushed with tamari-calabrian chili ponzu and topped with crispy garlic ($18) and a Kakigori shaved ice dessert infused with dark cherry, layered with pistachio gelato, yuzu whipped cream and drizzled fun sprinkles ($14).

Chef Kilgore will also be creating Sake Slushies. Guests will be able to stay refreshed with frozen delights like a yuzu margarita, and a strawberry rendition — both infused with sake. An eclectic sake bottle selection will also be available along with curated wines and beers. All walk-ins are welcome and guests will be able to dine-in a casual and relaxed atmosphere or on their outdoor patio and lounge area.

Oise Ristorante by Brad Kilgore will be located at 2335 N Miami Ave, Miami, FL 33127, next to Miss Crispy Rice at Oasis. The pop-up will kickoff on December 21st and continue until early summer of 2024. Hours of operation will be Sunday and Tuesday through Thursday from 12 p.m. - 10 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 12p.m. - 11 p.m.
