Grupo Mandolina, the creators of a renowned Italian restaurant concept hailing from the vibrant streets of Mexico City, have officially opened Giorgina by Grupo Mandolina in the heart of Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood. The highly anticipated al fresco gastronomic gem opened on November 21 bringing an authentic taste of Italy to the Magic City. Founded on the principles of culinary excellence, impeccable service and an inviting ambiance, Giorgina, known in Mexico City as Mandolina, has been a beloved dining destination since 2020.
The Wynwood location is a 4,500-square-foot, 130-seat Miami al fresco restaurant which takes guests on a sensory journey to the shores of Italy's Amalfi Coast. From its modern and cozy architecture and citrus-toned color palette, to its foliage-covered ceiling displaying more than 5,000 lemons on vines, Giorgina is devoted to crafting exquisite dishes that capture the flavors of Italy.
"We are excited to welcome Miami locals and visitors alike to Giorgina and offer them a tasteful dining experience in a casual, neighborhood-like setting,” said Juan Carlos Briones, general manager at Giorgina and formerly of Starr Restaurants’ Le Zoo management team. "Our goal is to celebrate the rich tapestry of Italian flavors while paying homage to the vibrant culture of Mexico City.”
Under the helm of Executive Chef Hector Caspio and Chef Consultant Federico Tischler, Giorgina’s dinner menu features classically-inspired Italian dishes infused with innovative twists. Guests can expect an array of items prepared with the finest, locally sourced ingredients such as Pasta Giorgina, Grilled Octopus over creamy cannellini beans, whole roasted Orata topped with garlic confit, and the Veal Scallopini, served on custom china plates by Adriana Castro. Diners can also indulge in signature pizzettes like the Margherita and Three Cheese Truffle. Must-try homemade desserts include the Inmenso Chocolate Cake or the Gooseberry Panna Cotta. Giorgina will also serve brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with coffee and pastries, as well as brunch staples including the Giorgina French toast, Croissant egg benedict over pastrami, and the Two sauce Chilaquiles.
