Terra's David Martin Lists His Custom, Catalina Echevarria-Designed Grove at Grand Bay Penthouse For $25 Million
David Martin, President and founder of Terra, the developers behind the Bjarke Ingels-designed Grove at Grand Bay, has listed his personal penthouse atop the twisting towers for $25 million. The penthouse is completely custom redesigned by Catalina Echevarria of CEU Studio and has been listed with Eloy Carmenate + Mick Duchon of Douglas Elliman.
The unit was previously listed for $28 million with Philip Freedman of Cervera Real Estate who oversaw pre-construction sales at Grove at Grand Bay before the project was completed. It is currently the most expensive condo on the market in Coconut Grove.
Martin hand chose Echevarria to lead the redesign based on her background of fully embodying Coconut Grove’s historic yet, clean and sophisticated character. Echevarria was the designer behind Casa Bahia, her private home in Coconut Grove asking $43 million which she co-designed with her son, filmmaker Alejandro Landes. Echevarria was recognized for the property’s design for using natural materials to create style and a spiritual way of living.
The penthouse spans an expansive living area approximately 128' wide and encompasses an entire floor all within the architecturally significant, twisting building designed by Bjarke Ingles. The penthouse offers 5 bedrooms + staff quarters with 5.5 bathrooms complete with 2 private elevators all spread over 10,118 SF. The residence includes a chef's kitchen, maids room, cinema room, indoor/outdoor bath-spa, sports bar, a walk-in 3,000 bottle wine room with bay views, and an extravagant master suite with stunning marble walled master bathroom complete with rain-showers and a soak-in tub all with panoramic views of Biscayne Bay. Outside offers a massive private rooftop deck featuring a moonlight cinema, private pool, and summer kitchen along with semi-wrap around balconies. Finishes include stone & Equip Macael flooring as well as Maffi FIR Wide Plank flooring, hand painted matte venetian plaster walls, custom mirrors, Idea Group vanities, and marble bathrooms. The penthouse is set for completion by winter 2018.
